Received a call from Benchmark pretending to be collecting from numerous companies. After him being extremely rude to me then my Accountant. I called the company that he said that he was calling from to complain. I spoke to a nice lady who explained that there is no John Anderson that works for her, that they believe that he gets his hand on different directory, and that he also searchs advertising websites for easy payments. She then said that I should google the phone number as well as Benchmark Industries. I came across this blog and many others.

This is a craigslist scammer looking to send a cashier's/certified check for a purchase. They might add money to the check and say "reimburse me" for the extra to get that amount of money from you or they might just take your delivered item. The check will bounce after a couple weeks and your bank will hold you responsible for this amount. Avoid this person at all costs.

First thing I asked caller was for his personal cell phone number since he was calling on mine. The number he gave me was 321-256-9633 - I then asked him for his employee ID number - his answer: I gave you my cell number - it is 321 B-L-O-W-M-E-E, he then promptly hung up. I would consider this sexual harrassment.

Richard Called me and offered to make me part of his Greenville network. he had 2 of the 3 contractor spots filled and was looking for just one more person to join. All it cost is $100 for the first month and 150 for months thereafter. I told him that if he would give me several genuine leads I would consider joining. He declined. How do I know he is a real network company? Maybe he is a dude sitting on his couch iin his underwear desperate for beer money...Maybe he is real, I don't know. How do I know that his story is real? Maybe he has 20 contractors in Greenville he shares leads with.... He wants my money I want leads, why do I have to give him my money first? Prove that you have real leads and prove that you are valuable to me and I will consider joining. Why on earth would I ever give someone my CC over the phone just because they can talk fast and sound like they are desperate? SCAM ALERT!

The man is very rude, he calls stating that he is going to take me to court for fraud. He told me that I owed a payday loan. He knew my ss#, and my bank information. He wanted to speak to my manager and, he states that I am a criminal and my boss is too. That he will have me to loose my job. I don't even recall taking the payday loan out. I have applied online before, and I feel that is how they got my information. What can I do to get them to stop harrassing me. I have intentions of filing a police report with about the situation.

The call was received today (6/25/14 at 1:15 pm Pacific Time). The caller had a heavy East Indian accent and I could not understand him. After asking him to repeat himself twice, I still could only understand his name, but it sounded like he was asking if anyone in my family had surgery recently. I told him I couldn't understand him and that I was going to hang up. He was not rude nor insistent, but it was an unsolicited call.
