I called the number - loud noise behind person who answered "this is the IRS, how can I help you?" with heavy accent. I told them I got a call - he asked me for my phone # and my social security number. I told him before I could proceed, I would need to know his name and badge/employee number. I was immediately disconnected. This kind of blatant fraud is outrageous. I wonder how many poor people fall for it?!
