I received a call from 512-384-3919 (Texas number) stating they were with an affiliated company with Credit Services to offer me a reduction on my credit card interest rates. They wanted information from me. When I confronted them, they hung up on me. I tried to call back the number... it is a number that was disconnected in 2014. I believe the phone scam is coming in from outside of the US... perhaps India. The call is not even from 512-384-3919... but, appears as such on caller IDs... this tactic is called "echoing" a phone number. Unfortunately this type of criminal activity is becoming more prevalent. There seems to be little that our country's government or FTC or our nation's telecommunications organizations are able to do about it.
