I have a CT phone number, and I live in Honolulu, and I was called by the IRS Office in CA? Didn't pass the common sense test to me. I checked the IRS homepage and it is plausible they will call, but they will ALWAYS send a letter to your most current address confirming any audit or required records.

I suspect this is a FRAUD call. I will be watching my mail for any IRS letter, but will NOT call this # back.
