This is the number for a survey company. What they do is legal. It should not be but they lobby and you don't. Yes, they are allowed to call you late at night. On your cell phone. On your unlisted number. Even if you are on the do-not-call registry.

Want to do something about them? Call their CLIENTS and complain. Here are some they brag about on their website. I'm not allowed to post more than 2500 characters at a time, so scroll on down.

I am overseas with an unlisted American cell phone, on the do not call registry, and they called me several times after midnight.

This should be illegal. Write to your congressman, senators and state representatives.

How to find your congressman and senators: http://www.contactingthecongress.org/

How to find your other representatives: http://www.congress.org/congressorg/dbq/officials/?&lvl=L

Here are clients this company brags about on its website. Write to the public relations office and management of as many of them as possible.

I do not give the details for Princeton Data Services itself because it is not going to change and be nice-- bothering people is how a telephone survey company works. Instead you need to hit its clients.

Be POLITE, detail your complaint, then point out that they hired this bad company, and that their use of this company is hurting their brand name. Hit them where it hurts and mention that you now think less of them/ are less likely to join/help/donate to them BECAUSE they are using Princeton Data Services. Many of these organizations are non-profits and need the goodwill of the public-- point out that they are forfeiting goodwill by hiring a company that engages in such outrageous tactics.

Mention that you are on do not call lists or have an unlisted number and that Princeton Data Services calls you at night, wakes up your children, or whatever else is the truth about the annoyances of Princeton Data Services. Mention that the do-not-call lists do not apply to survey companies and therefore you have no legal way to avoid them; therefore you are forced to complain to them, the organizations that employ them. Remember, politeness and persistence pay off. A few letters (snail mail is the best) can make a big difference.

Think how annoyed I had to be by Princeton Data Services to compile this list.

If your name is on this list, get your organization to stop using Princeton Data Services.
