I'm not sure how this guy got my number, but he is definitely a scammer. He called me and said it was their final notice. If I didn't start the warranty, they would close my file and it couldn't be opened again. They claim they had sent me tons of documents in the mail offering me to start a warranty through them, but I never got them. He even claimed that onece the honda warranty expired, they handed it over to them to setup any additional warranty's. They said it was probably because it got mixed up with all the other spam email.
He went on and on about how they are required by law to offer me 30 days to try it out and if I don't like the warranty that they would give me a full refund.
They were really trying to pressure me into giving up my credit card number. I was of suspicious of corse, so I google'ed his so called "company" and found this site and many others stating that this company scams people. After finding that online, I talked to him for 35 minutes making seem like I am really interested in his offers. I even gave him my credit cards expiration number. After that he asked for the credit card numbers. I than stated I am aware that he is a scammer telling him about post online. He than said "Well, the internet can post all sorts of nasty stuff that's not true." Than he went on to "make me more comfortable" by telling me his "real name" (which I'm sure was made up) He even spelled it out for me like that makes a difference lol
From the start of this call I was already suspicious seeing how when they called and said they had a file open for me, but I still had to give them the model of my car.....Also, that if I was not going to purchase a warranty now, they were going to close my files since they have tried to contact me so many times (never have before). At the end of the call I simply stated that I was not interested in his offers and would rather go with a company that I trusted. He than said "Well now I'm offended. I'm going to go ahead and close your file, I hope your car breaks down *click*". LOL I know I made him pissed after wasting 35 minutes of his time. Oh well, that's 35 minutes he wasn't able to waste actually succeed in scamming somebody.
