I have stopped picking up the phone for names I do not recognize. Certain companies set up "bots" to call millions of numbers for the purpose of determining whether each number is a "live" number. Live numbers have monetary value to telemarketers. When you answer, the bot knows that your number is a live number.....and your number is then on a list to be sold to telemarketers.
