Called, I did not answer, they left no message. Be aware that some of these scammers do not need your credit card number to scam you. They record calls and if you say "Yes" or anything else that sounds like an affirmative, they will grab that bit of recording and make it sound like you agreed to whatever they are selling. Your best defense is not to engage them at all.
I no longer answer calls from numbers I do not recognize or which are outside my area code. If it's important, they can leave a voicemail. I used to block all such numbers but the scammers just hide behind a new number every week. And yes, our area gets a new number attempting scams every single week. If I tried to block all of them my phone carrier would probably have a nervous breakdown and it does no good anyway. So I just refuse to answer.
