My parents received a phone message today. A guy named Mr Cook called asking that if they knew **** ******, and to have her call him right away. He said he was "desperately trying to get in touch with ****" regarding a "really serious matter that is coming up extremely quickly" and he doesn't want to "see it come after her this way" and he is "trying to save her from this happening".
Phone number on caller ID came back as 678-619-2382. This is a Georgia number.
My sister-in-laws parents in a totally different state got called today as well. This company will try to make any personal or business connections and call whomever they can phishing for information.
I have reported them to the FTC. Not sure what else I can do.
