Company Address: Westfield Portfolio Management, 5750 Division St, Riverside, CA 92506 I did have a PAID IN FULL debt that this company was trying to collect against. Their claim to my debt was completely invalid. I have submitted a complaint against them via BBB, but I plan to post the complaint everywhere so that others do not fall victim to the illegal practices of Westfield Portfolio Services.
BBB Complaint: Debt was paid in full. Company tried to charge again when original account was at 6 years, 11 1/2 months. I am positive that this will be taken care of, because I submitted documentation that proves that I paid my debt in full; however, I am filing a complaint in order to warn innocent people about this business. My original date of last payment will be 7 years ago in 2 weeks from now (so it will be removed very soon), and Westfield Portfolio Management tried to muscle me into paying for the debt again. They claimed my original debt to be increased by hundreds of dollars, and they stated that they were in the process of filing a judgment against me.
I was originally contacted by a "Jennifer Santiago," whose number is answered by a recording with no ability to leave a message. When I was able to catch her incoming phone call, Ms. Santiago told me that there is a "complaint filed against me" and to contact another person.
The second lady that I spoke with, Ms. Gillery, told me what the debt was and gave me a fax number to send documentation showing that my debt was paid years ago. The fax number was invalid. I called her back immediately and told her that I was sending my proof, but the number that she had given me was disconnected. She gave me a new number, and I was able to submit my documentation. Ms. Gillery refused to give me the name of her business and/or mailing address information, so I hope that others are able to find this. I was very persistent, and I contacted the receptionist (who also didn't want to give me the company's information but finally did). Keep your records! It saved me from their illegal practices.
