Received an official looking postcard, that upon further inspection was an obvious scam. Having elderly parents and in-laws who have fallen for these scams, I got irritated and decided to call and play along. You call the number and enter your package code (I first enabled call block on my phone). When the female rep. answered, she used my name that the postcard was addressed to. She gave me the pitch about my FREE ANDROID TABLET. Then asked me a few marketing questions to support the people who paid for my "gift." I answered the questions untruthfully, and at the end, she gave me another number to call to have my gift sent. I called that number and was put on hold for 20 minutes. When the rep finally answered, she pretended that she couldn't hear me, and hung up.
Here is where I think I got them to send me off into never never land. They asked me if I was married, and I replied NO. They then asked if my income was above $50K, and I again replied NO. The interview was quickly over, and I was probably given the toll free number for "single deadbeats" and ignored. I took the time to file a mail fraud complaint with the USPS. https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/contactus/filecomplaint.aspx
