I just received a call from a person stating they worked for American Alert Services. First they were in Albany near my home and then it was Calif.
The lady refused to provide a web site and just kept fast talking over me. I believe she was leading up to wanting some personal information like a credit or debit card which a person would have to be crazy to provide. I kept asking questions about their company and god a complete diversion and run a round. Don't waste your time talking to these people because most of them are probably a scam and once they have your personal information you may end up with a lot of trouble. They are praying on the elderly. Best not to talk with them at all. You can find honest service providers by checking with the Better Business Bureau of AARP. This one even mentioned AARP in their recording.
Just hang up.
