Call came in to my cell phone at 4:18AM (!) Eastern time on 10/24/11. Recorded voice left the following message:
"Hello. This is an official notification from HSBC, informing you that your MasterCard has been locked for security reasons. To unlock it, please press 1 now."
I don't have a MasterCard from HSBC, and I never list my cell phone as my primary number. Just to be safe, I called the customer service number on my real MasterCard. They were quite helpful, assured me that this is a scam, and reported it to their fraud department.
