Caller identified himself as Jerry and claimed he was with Allstate and they had "lowered the rate" but if it is Allstate, it was the most unprofessional sounding insurance rep I've ever heard of! The call came from LA and we live in MD. Guy didn't know what to do when I answered the phone and said "Yeah?!" Before launching into his fake insurance spiel. I'm pretty sure the other commenters are correct and this is a scam of some sort. I used my standard telemarketer line "I am not interested, but thanks for the call!" And hung up.
