Bogus collection / lawsuit threat regarding a credit card I never had. They threatened to sue, file a 1099-C and ruin my credit.
They said I owed $5500, but they would accept $3000 if I agreed to settle. I refused, of course.
At that point they said they would be filing suit and I had better consult my attorney. I wished them luck.
