THIS SCAM CALL CLAIMS TO BE FROM "THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY." THEY ARE NOT! They are fake. I got an automated call from them, but I missed the call. They left no message (they seemed to have just hung up). I called the number back -- (503) 468-5545. A recording with a male voice answered -- his voice did not sound very professional. He said, "Thank you for calling the national do not call registry. Please enter your phone number." I hung up. I contacted the Federal Trade Commission). The FTC runs the REAL National Do Not Call Registry. They confirmed that they DO NOT make these calls. If this happens to you, you can call the FTC at (202) 326-2222, or (877) 382-4357.
