This is definitely a scam. The caller pretends to be from the IRS investigation's unit. He claims that taxes were not paid properly and there is a warrant for your arrest. He proceeds to tell you that the only way to clear up this matter and prevent the police from arresting you today, is to rush to your nearest CVS or other drugstore and purchase "Green Dot" money cards. They want you to purchase the cards for $500 each and give them the numbers off of the cards, so that they may steal the money. My sister called me very upset and was headed to her bank to withdraw $1,000. I explained to her that this was likely a hoax, so I called the IRS and verified that this was a hoax. They said that they would never call a person a make such demands. Their correspondence is always by mail or in person, unless you call them first.
