Yesterday, I received a call from a Jay Harris claiming that he was with the U.S. Treasury Department. (He spoke with an accent.)

Here are some of the things he told me.

1) That I would have agents at my door within 45 minutes if I did not pay what was owed.
2) That the issue was no longer in the hands of the IRS but had gone to Treasury.
3) That he was using a specialized computer system that would automatically trigger agents coming to my home if I hung up.
4) That I was being accused of tax fraud (2012) and if I did not pay, I would be going to federal prison (or something similar to this).
5) If I hung up for any reason, it would automatically signal to their computer system for agents to come to my house and arrest me. And at that point, I would not longer be able to make any payment.
6) When I told him I did not have the money he was demanding ($2,598), he told me I would have until this Wednesday evening at 5 PM (California time) to call and make payment. If there was any further delay, I would be arrested.
