Went on and on about needing an attorney to save yourself alot of trouble, etc, etc......
Called number....they say they are "officers with the Treasury Department" regarding tax issues from 2001....that they will arrive soon to arrest us.....
They need to be in jail!

Just got a call today from this phone number. Reverse lookup places this as a T-mobile cel phone with an address in low # 400 block of S Sycamore, Los Angeles, 90036 - Google map inspection places this most likely at a construction site.

This jerk called and left a message that almost put me into a panic at first. I have listened to this message at least five times and still cannot understand the reason for this so called crime of a raring pardon??? Whatever that is and to call my retained attorney to call him back as this is an issue of enforcement? This is illegal and they need to be stopped first its so called windows from Pakistan calling ten times a day now its this guy from Pakistan.

Male claiming to be Keith Martin from the Department of Legal Affairs- I have an enforcement that has been started against me and I need to call him and if I dont have time , I need to hire an attorney to do so. The guy has a cross between a Middle Eastern/Boston type accent. Very hard to understand and mispronounced common words. At the end he says to have a Very Blessed day and he looks forward to hearing from me soon. I could hear the chatter of other callers in the background

Unrelenting calls from "Mike Watson" - over 20 calls in one hour today - threatening residents at this number and attempting to extort money. Used profane language, hung up several times and continued to call back repeatedly. Filed police report and called phone company. Verbally abusive, taunting every single time he called. Would not allow us to speak to his supervisor. He had a Pakistani accent and could not even spell "Mike Watson" his supposed name. We warned him not to call again and advised him the police would be arriving to file a report to which he laughed and taunted, asking "Oh big deal. What are you going to do." Hung up on me and called back several more times telling us to respect him. His claim is to be from the "Department of Legal Affairs" and refused to indicate a location, branch or other identifiable information. He was told not to call back every single time he called and refused to comply. Police report filed, FTC notified. Officer attempted to contact the individual at the number and received a fast busy signal.

Same exact caller & number, left the same message on my machine a few weeks back, however I answered and he asked to verify some info and I told him he was a fake and he said the sheriff will show up at my doorstep. I called him on his fake name & number because I'm looking at it RIGHT NOW online.....he still said he'd have the sheriff here tomorrow and I laughed at him. He was getting really worked up!

I can hardly understand the guy. He claims his name is Eric Foster form the Department of Legal Affairs and that I have a judgement against me and I need to call him at 562-735-2655. Even says that if I don't want to call him, that I should hire an attorney to call him, because of how serious of a legal matter this is and it requires immediate attention. The FTC fraud page is full of people that received the same call.

I had the EXACT same phone message an hour ago. Could barely understand accent. He said his name was Roy Jackson & for me to call back with my lawyer present to #562-735-2655. It also ended with have a blessed day. The # is in L.A. California.

I got the same call just now, he said I own 2000 from 2012 taxes,he sounds like Indian or Pakistan person, the number that I called back is 202-795-1580.
I was tying to get information from them, but even he got upset that I was asking him questions, he said that the sheriff will come and arrest me, I asked him to send me this information by mail, and he said they already send the info some many times and I never responded , so I ask where did u send it, he did not give an answer! He ended saying that the sheriff will give me that information when he arrest me, but where is he coming to arrest me if you don't have an address to send me the information?, he said god luck and hang out!

I got the same call, verbatim, from the same guy on 2 different days, leaving different numbers. On the second call he messed up and gave one name at the beginning of the call, and a different one at the end. So glad you posted this. Thanks Sally

Got the same verbiage from some idiot who left message on my landline voicemail. Heavy accent and used the term "law enforcement action." Reading about it, it's the IRS scam, now intensifying due to April 15 tax deadline nearing.

"Jeff Thomas" from "Department of Legal Affairs".Scam,saying it was regarding taxes from 2011 and I would soon be behind bars. After reading the many websites regarding the scam and this phone number, I called back and He said that all the people who have called and said this is a scam are now "Behind bars". As I was questioning this, asking why (if this was true) I hadn't received something in the mail...then something happened and then I was talking to a woman, who said a scammer was calling them and that I must be a scammer. I gave her the names of the websites citing this scam and she was (supposedly) going to give me a number to make a complaint as she was having the same issue...but then she mysteriously cut off.
