I just received this same message on my voice mail and the scammer name was Mark Johnson with a very heavy foreign accent. He sounded like he was talking into a mike and would turn it off and on as he spoke like it was a message he was reading from. What gave it away was the way he ended his call and said I look forward to hearing from you, God Bless. Ok so when does the government say that.

I received a voice mail from a voice recorder not live person that if I did not call 916-974-9783 right away or my Lawyer that there would be Law Enforcement at my door step to detain me for 72 hours.
It took 45 some times to call the number and kept getting a voice mail stating the VM box was full & could not accept any messages.
Then I finally got someone to answer with a heavy Indian/foreign accent who said my name and then hung up twice..........You have got
to be kidding these people get away with this stuff....where is the real law for Americans being scammed this way????

We received the same call multiple times today (11/5/15) from Shawn Anderson, Department of Legal Affairs. He asked for my husband, the first time he called I hung up on him. He called back immediately 3 more times and never left a message. He called back later in the day and left the following message: "This message is intended for (my husbands first and last name here). (Husbands first name), this is Shawn Anderson with the Department of Legal Affairs and I was trying to reach you in regards to a very important issue. This is a legal notification for you in regards to the enforcement action which has been started on your name. My number is 347-539-4270. I repeat that, 347-539-4270. Now, if for any reason you are busy to call back, I would suggest you to have your retained attorney to do it for you. As delaying calling us might end up in a legal mess for you. I hope you will take this right and call me back. This is Shawn Anderson with the Department of Legal Affairs looking forward to speaking to you. Until then good bye."

Same message from "Jeff Thomas"_American name but thick accent..said I should call him at 347-408-0225...something abt the "actions started against me by Hablins?? Or course accent so thick an accent,,,he could of said anything. "It could be very bad for me" ,,, glad to hear other folks getting the SCAM warning out there!!!!!

Received a message on my Comcast home phone today from New York. Scared me at first, but according to everything online, must be a scam. I did not call back. The message was: This message is intended for (my maiden name). Hi, this is Nick Anderson (Very English name - very thick mid-East accent) with the Department of Legal Affairs and I was calling you in regards to a very important issue. This is a legal notification for you in regards to the enforcement action that has been started against your name. My number is 3479278986. I repeat it, 3479278986. If for any reason you are busy to call back, I would suggest you to have your retained attorney to do it for you. As delaying calling us might end up in a legal mess for you. I hope you will take this right and call me back. This is Adam Woods with the Department of Legal Affairs looking forward to speaking to you. Until then you have a blessed day and good by."

This morning, Adam Woods (347)770-3962, clearly a non-native English speaker, left a message on my answering machine in Massachusetts for my daughter who lives in New York. Here is a transcript of his message.
"This message is intended for EC. Hi, this is Adam Woods with the Department of Legal Affairs and I was calling you in regards to a wery (sic) important issue. This is a local(legal?) notification for you in regards to the enforcement action that has been started against your name. My number is 3477703962. I repeat it, 3477703962. I had the same exact call today. I knew it was a scam because you could hear the ppl in the back round and I could't understand him his name wa "Adam Walker" when I called the number just to "go along with them for a little" I got a voicemail for "Chris Walker" He ended the call exactly the same "very blessed day." I recorded it on my phone and looked the number up online and it's a landline in the Bronx. I will be going to my police department tomorrow!

I received the same message from a Mr. Michael Clark with the heavy Indian Accent for a Mark...No last name given. When I called back they asked for my last name and attached it to Mark .... Which is the same last name as my brother-in-law and said he had an hour to call back. It sounded fishy so I looked it up and found your comments. Thank you for showing me that this is a total scam
