Same info as below Jessica Lopez called from F&ECU left vm...please call back. I called back got vm of Michelle Dunne. Left my name, case # and ph#. Jessica called me back immediately and asked if I knew a certain person, that I'd never heard of. She said ok and hung up.
I also think it was a SCAM. Or at least an attempt at one.

Yes, I received a call this morning stating that my husband owes a payday loan from 2009 and now that is up for prosecution by the state attorney's office but if I can come up with the means to pay it before the warrant is served then nothing will happen. The name is some kind of fraud and economics complaint office in Texas.And the person I talked to was Adam Plevik. They had a case # and everything but wouldn't give any of the information regarding it.The phone number they used was 512-582-7528.

The same person called me to. But I also then talked with a guy. Said I would have a warrant also. Try had my s.s# everything. I don't know what to do.. They should be turned in.

She call me, my wife, and 5 relatives. She stated she was from the Fraud and Economic Complaint Unit and state i was going to have a warrant issued on my name due to a check written in Michigan in 2010 for Check-n-Go saying i wrote bad check.

Someone by the name of Stacey Edwards called my sister-in-law stating she was from the Fraud and ecomonic unit devision left a case number making it sound like a fraud case was opened against me leaving a San Antionio area code and phone number of 210-556-1994 it was left today. i dont owe anyone and i have not committed any crime i called and left a message for her, her compnay or any representative to consider this notice to not contact me, my family, friends, neighbors or anyone assiciaed with me or i will be forced to take action aginst her and her company. the only thing they can do is send womthing in the mail to address on file i left time and date of call i was angry so i left about 5 message and *67 when i called.

This was horrid. They called my son gathering information on his location and said there was a warrant out for his arrest from Florida due to an old bill, which they referred to as theft. This is a horrific attempt to collect a debt. Calling from a TX phone number claiming to be representing Duval County Florida...

so I've figured out its a collection agency. they're not very organized. they asked for information they should already have and I was on hold a lot. but the place I owe is real, so i'll send payments to them but not to the agency itself. be careful with this one. the number I have is 210 556 1944 and the guy I talked to is Thomas wells.

I just, well I didn't, my brother in law got a phone call about me, and the exact thing was said, that I needed to get in touch with them or something about a warrant. when I called I talked to a Thomas wells. but kept getting disconnected. is this really a scam or is it serious??

Update - called back and a man answered phone I told him I'm reporting them to the FTC and remove my number he promptly called me a name and hung up --/ so scam

Left a message that this was the fraud and economic complaint unit and she was Kathleen speielman. Needed to talk with me for aggravated fraud and if they did not would report me for warrant. Called number back same voice in voicemail only now the name is Michelle Dunn. I would I think anything on warrant basis would come certified legal mail and not some scam phone call .. I've blocked the number now
