I also just got a phone call from Miranda Clark from the Fraud economic complaint unit @ 619-226-5172 stating there was an aggrivated complaint against me with a case # and to have me or my lawyer contact her immediately for the jurisdiction I'm in (but doesn't state which jurisdiction) SCAM!

I had got a call from a Miranda Clark from the Fraud economic complaint unit @ 713-422-2605 Letting me know i had a claim against me and I needed to call back before anything else happens..SCAM ... I'm not calling them back..I looked up info on the name and found everyone's story..

Thomas Wells and Crystal Newman called my granddaughter from 916-226-5159, claimed to be from the fraud and economic complaint unit for the office of investigations...did not say WHICH office. I called them back...told them they will be hearing from FTC, State Attorney and FBI. They hung up on me. SCAMMERS! THIS NOT A LEGITIMATE COMPANY!

Person that called me was Lydia White #210-704-1221. I got the impression she was a police officer because she said she had a warrant for me for a bad check I supposedly wrote to a cash advance place several years ago. If I didn't resolve the debt of $1000+ immediately I would be arrested, be in jail for 3_months before court, then I could be in prison for 3 years. I told her I could make payments starting next week. She said she would put my paperwork on the bottom of the stack to give me some time but to call her back next week prepared to make payment. I called my attorney, clerk of court, police department, sheriff's department.... They told me it was a scam. Sheriff said if he had a warrant for me that he wasn't going to call me ahead of time. And they don't take payments over the phone to prevent arrests. I am looking forward to my call with Lydia next week so I can get an address to send her some play money.....

Someone by the name of Stacey Edwards called my sister-in-law stating she was from the Fraud and ecomonic unit devision left a case number making it sound like a fraud case was opened against me leaving a San Antionio area code and phone number of 210-556-1994 it was left today. i dont owe anyone and i have not committed any crime i called and left a message for her, her compnay or any representative to consider this notice to not contact me, my family, friends, neighbors or anyone assiciaed with me or i will be forced to take action aginst her and her company. the only thing they can do is send womthing in the mail to address on file i left time and date of call i was angry so i left about 5 message and *67 when i called.

This was horrid. They called my son gathering information on his location and said there was a warrant out for his arrest from Florida due to an old bill, which they referred to as theft. This is a horrific attempt to collect a debt. Calling from a TX phone number claiming to be representing Duval County Florida...

Okay my daughter in law and myself just got the same type of call referring to my son.It was from Catherine Warner 210-556-1991. When I called back and told him I was a relative and wanted more information she transferred me to some rude guy I could hardily understand.He told me it was to late and that a warrant was filed and he would be going to jail today. Really??
