Got a call from 149-694-0059 and they said I needed to update my auto insurance. Heavy middle eastern accent, very persistent. Hung up on him.

Been receiving several calls today (June 9, 2014) from this number. Based on the previous posts about this number, I am quite certain it is a scam.
Scams are abundant, even from scammers in the USA. Technology makes robocalling a significant nuisance for anyone. The Do Not Call registry is ignored, but the best way to stop a scammer is to not answer your phone when one is calling you. If you don't answer your phone the robocall machine cannot verify that yours is an active number.
