Like the person above, I was contacted by Linda/David who had very thick Indian accent that was difficult to understand at best, stating that I owed back taxes in the amount of $3,945.00. I was subject to $31,000 in fines and penalties and subject to 5 years in prison. If I did not take care of this situation within 1 hour, they would download this information to my local law enforcement agency and I would hauled off to jail. He warned for me to be sure and have an attorney present upon arrival to the courthouse. They also indicated they would confiscate all my accounts plus debit/credit cards. I asked them to provide this info in writing but they said they had, but it was returned undeliverable because no one was home. I said, yeah...I WORK, and am not at home during the day. By now I was beginning to get the indication that this was a scam and they were hoping that I would act stupidly and give them my bank info in order to take $3,945.00 from my account. I finally told him to do what he had to do and I would deal with it then, I had to get back to work! Scammers, why don't thet get a real job and leave those of us who do alone??

caller kept me on phone for 20 minutes telling me within 1 hour us marshalls would be at my door for not paying 5490.00 under section 51b. that i owed taxes that did not match with my employers numbers, i'm self employed....when i went on line to check this number and told him to hold he hung up...scam
