I answered the phone to a man with an accent I couldn't make out where it was from. He told me I am eligible for a one time $9,000.00 grant from the US government. He then quickly tried to get my bank account information and told me I would have the money transferred into my account within 20 to 25 min.. I then asked him what the name of his agency is and a phone number I could call his agency as so I can verify who he and his organization is. He then returned immediately to his original pitch. I then asked to speak with someone who has English as their born language and after having a tussle he said I could speak to his supervisor. The supervisor spoke a bit better and clearer but still with a slight accent from somewhere. So I told him the same thing that I would not give out my personal information until I could verify who they are. Then he started into the original pitch and I hung up on him. I waited a minute and tried calling the number back but it a busy signal.

They could have had a Chinese accented man saying I was selected to receive a $9000 grant from the US govt. Considering China just recently hacked into the US govt, this is suspicious.
