This company has been calling me non-stop about renewing a car warranty. It is total B.S. They know no information about you so don't give them any! Asking to be taken off their list does no good whatsoever...so annoying.

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION AT ALL. i receive calls from this company that are almost always from different phone numbers. they have been calling me at least 2x a week for about 8 months on my cell phone. they do not take you off of the list if you press 2 and they do not take you off of the list if you press 1 and ask to be taken off. They just hang up on you. i even asked for a manager and the "manager" hung up on me as well. it is absolutely ridiculous. i saw a news agency investigation on tv about them and a few elderly people were cleared out of all of their money because they gave them their information. after that i stopped receiving the phone calls for about a month, but they picked back up again about 2 months ago. i just put a complaint in with the FTC, but the more complaints, phone numbers, and information they receive, the better it will be for all of us. the number for the Federal Trade Commission is 1-877-382-4357. i was informed that you can also call your state attorney general and the consumer protection agency to file a complaint if you think that it is a scam, which it obviously is.

@steve - I think most can respect your opinion that this is individually a waste of time. However, the collective probably does matter. These auto-warranty solicitors are engaging in the same sociopathic behavior that hosed our investment accounts. Accountability is the back bone of this country's future.

This is definitly a scam, as soon as I let them know I worked for the IU School of Law they hung up on me. They hang up whenever you don't provide the information they want. Next time I am going to play along and see how much info I can get out of them.

Even I get calls from 202-527-6024 about Auto warranty and the agent hung-up on me when I asked him to remove from their calling list.
So now I've stored 202-527-6024 in my cell phone with the First Name as 'Banned'. Next time I get a call from same number I can directly disconnect :)

@calvin - It is illegal. It might be legal if the call originated in-state and the call was informational in nature. However, as we've seen with other reports about auto-warranty calls, they generally have no idea what the true warranty status of your vehicle is or even if you own a vehicle at all.

this is a car warranty call center--- have been calling me 3-7 x's a day, even though i have requested them (every time) to take me off there calling list-- obviously they r not, and the agents keep hanging up on me. to make it worse-- they r calling my cell number
