I got the same exact call! Scared me to death! I called back and talked to some guy with an Arabic accent. He told me his name was Jose Garcia. Ha! He referenced my maiden name which makes me nervous. He couldn't give me any info except that there were errors on my 2005,2006 and 2008 taxes resulting in a fraud claim. He talked about some lawyer representation but I cut him off and told him I needed to call back because I don't know anything about this and I needed to call the IRS to find out. I don't know what the scam is really about (if I believed them and followed through) because I never gave them a chance to get any info other than I confirmed my maiden name, and they never asked me for any money...does anyone know what they are scamming??

"Good morning this is Frank Jefferson and I'm calling you from Internal Revenue Service tax audit Department. I have very important information for you. So please listen to me very carefully. We have received a legal petition notice against your name and your social security number regarding a tax for the lawsuit is going to be filed against you into federal(?) claims court house. So we need to talk to you and wanted to give you more information about this lawsuit(?) so remember call us back as soon as possible at 2025808078. I repeat 2025808078. And remember if you're not responding back to this message then we will issue an arrest warrant on your name(?) so take care about it. Goodbye."

IRS SCAM! Man called claiming to be Fred (or Frank) Jefferson from the IRS auditing department and that there was a legal petition against me at the federal court house and I needed to call or a warrant would be issued for my arrest.
