Ya, I just got one of these calls 2 minutes ago. It's 1:54 pst. 010914 Thursday. I went to the link about how to be put on the do not call list. http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0113-government-grant-scams

When I first answered the call, I didn't hear anybody. I paused, the I heard a young make say, "hello, hello"? Then a frustrated tone in his voice, then a hang up sound. I Googled this number: 202-621-5429. I immediately got on do not call list, and book marked this number titled scam call. I tried to call back to see if any body would answer but the phone line was busy. Imagine that? Very interesting. I did telemarketing for about four years, but I never did telemarketing like that! Here is how I deal with these kind of calls. I really really slow, "heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellooooooooooooooooooooo" over and over and over again and again, until they give up! It's hilarious to them say that things like, "never mind"! Have fun with that! Some people never grow up. Or are natural dirt bags? I think I will write a song about this! hehe....cheers!

You can text him! The first time replies with a message stating Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid mobile number. I replied,"If you believe Jesus is Lord you will be saved". EVEN IF YOU GO TO PRISON.

called me and told me that he worked for the US government,and that i had some money waiting,well first of all the government will not call you and tell you you got some grant money waiting the will notify you by mail, second this is done by the US department of Treasury wich the caller claiming that he works for the GOV did not know , so i told him to stay on the line (to mess with him)and after about 20 second i let him talk again and i interrupted him and asked him so you work for the GOV he replayed what and i asked again you work for the GOV and he hung up

I have been receiving the same calls- $7000' call back with confirmation # etc. They give options for how to receive the money: direct deposit into bank account' VS/MC' CASH! but they wanted a $320 security deposit. I knew better. How many people who don't know better and are so trusting have they scammed to date? I think I was targeted because of my Web Surf for education options in the past month.

I just received  a call from Muria with phone number 202-621-5429 and told me the same story that I won $ 7000 grant from the US Gov. and gave a cod (aproval number) and another phone number to call Carol(202-738-4217). When I search it on google I found that both numbers are cell numbers to the same person.Then I called her back and I told her this is a fraud and I will call the FBI, she hung up the phone.

claims you won a $7000 government grant from US Grants. She stated she worked for the US Gov't but could not say which agency or department the grant was from only kept repeating it was from US Grants and the hung up.
