Scammer stating I had been awarded a Federal Grant for $8400. Then ask for personal banking ID to process the grant. When I told him he was a scammer he became belligerent and MF'ing me on the phone. Telling me he was going to kill me asking where I was from.

Received a call from 202-657-5195 saying I had received a grant, chosen by the Treasurer's Department. They gave me a confirmation number and told me to call another number (202-470-0827). The individual then wanted me to give banking information to receive the money. I denied this and they said they had an option for a wire through Western Union. He explained that they needed $250 to register my name and then they would send the funds. Once I heard this, I told him I would report the call and hung up.

First spoke with a lady,(202)657-5195, who when asked for information on her representation to solidify securities on my end. She rudely directed me to said caller (Patrick Williams). When I spoke with "Mr. Williams" on how I may verify whether or not my $200 for registration costs was in fact going to the US Government, he then got defensive stating there are others who would want this money attempting to scare me into impulsive decisions. This of course made me uncomfortable so I ended the call. He also gave a verification number it is LP225. his phone # is (202) 470-0827
