I am happy that at least one lifestyle survey and lead generation company has the guts to come forward to come forward and take the onus of their calls. I called them up and asked them to stop calling me. They apologized for my inconvenience and assured us that I will not receive a call from that number again. Two weeks have passed since then and now I can conveniently say that they kept their promise – no unwanted calls!

I got calls from this number repeatedly. At first I did not respond to them as I never take calls from unknown numbers. But after a while I became frustrated and decided to find out who is calling me. So I searched the web and found a message in a complaint site in which a lifestyle survey company named Simply Outbound took responsibility for these calls. They even gave a grievance cell number where I can call and tell them to stop calling me. I was so relieved. I made the call and asked them to remove my name from their calling list. I have not received a single call from this number since then.

Getting numerous calls from a company is nothing new to me. I get 5-6 marketing and survey calls on a daily basis and chooses to ignore most of them. I contacted the grievance cell and told them to stop calling me. The person who picked up the phone listened to my problems patiently and then assured me that they will never bother me for any kind of survey. True to their promise, any agent from Simply Outbound has not called me up since then.

So I decided to carry on with the survey and be done with it. I participated in the survey which was a mix of household questions. Nothing seemed threatening. I mean, who will try to do me any harm by asking me whether I have a dog or not. Anyway, I don’t want to make fun of people here. I just want to convey that the calling actually stopped after I took part in the survey. My advice, participate in the survey and be done with it.

I won’t deny that I had a tough time dealing with these unwanted survey calls. But the other day I saw a post from the company responsible for these calls on a complaint forum and decided to call the grievance cell of the company. They greeted me cordially and listened to me patiently, took my details and promised me that I will not receive any calls henceforth. I did not believe that they will keep their promise, but they actually did. For the past 5 days I have not received a single call from this number. Now that’s some prompt action.
