This is a scam. I am getting the same message as everyone else. The message said "this is the IRS, we are calling about a lawsuit being filed against you, this is a final attempt..and they give a call back number of 206-905-9743. I called the number back and it gives a busy signal. Then i researched the number and it turns out to be a Seattle phone number. If this was the actual IRS, i would have been notified by mail first and they would not be contacting me at 6:45AM. This is definitely a SCAM!!

Hubby got a call on his cell phone from this number. Said the same thing everyone else is saying:
"Internal Revenue services is the reason of this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 206-905-9743. I repeat 206-905-9743. Thank you."
Hubby's upset, wants me to call back. Strangely enough there is no number on his phone that the message came from. I did call the 206-905# only to get a message that says "The caller isn't available" nothing about the IRS. The phone number is also a Seattle, Washington number.

This had me worried, so I came online to check the number to see if it was really the Internal Revenue Service, and found it is reported as a scam--not sure what they hope to get, since I don't give out any information by phone or online.
Have not had any contact from the real IRS first, and that is not the way the government operates.

SCAM!! Claiming to be IRS, so not true once I got through and asked for the person to repeat the company name they hung up.

SCAM!!! Claiming to be from the IRS and when you call back the number doesn't work. Pretty sure the IRS wouldn't be calling without sending a letter and threatening you with a law suit!!!

Said I was being audited and owed the IRS $5K. Spoke to two people both with Indian accents. When I suggested that this was a scam they hung up.
