These calls are from fraudulent callers that have somehow obtained your information. I get these false debt collector calls, as I did today when I looked up this number, and I work in the legal department of a large financial institution! It is important that you do not disclose nor confirm any personal information to them. In fact, you should ignore thier calls entirely. And NEVER wire or pay them any money. In accordance with the FDCPA ( a federal collections law), no debt collector may threaten you, and if there was a legal action filed against you regarding a debt (where you woud need to appear in court or go to jail), you would need to be served by a process server. You can report these companies, but they are using routers to obtain different, non-tracable phone numbers, so it really isn't of much use. Ignore them, or have fun with them like I do. I like to place them on hold and pick up every few minutes and place them back on hold. Keeps them from calling other people that may potentially fall prey to their scam! It is also not a bad idea to monitor or freeze your credit.
