Caller said he was from Dell, who happens to make my computer, and that he wanted to verify whether my computer had been hacked. He asked me to type a command into my computer and verify the read out and said that yes my computer had been hacked. Fortunately I was not where he could connect with my computer via the internet. I have Dell's remote access service and would not have known that it was not dell until he gave me the instructions on how to download the access file. At that point I would have caught it because I have the code they use. But it is obvious that he intended on getting into my computer if he could.
