On Okcupid,a man named Charlie supposed to be 56 years old but his picture looks like in thirty's...I txtd to say hi, then in correspondence I accidentally called the number. A woman's voice came on the voice mail, I didn't leave a message but, t txtd again sagging I wanted a picture of him in his uniform because I didn't understand why a woman's voice mail came up on the number...I said that he needed to call me. When he did, it sounded like some foreigner calling me baby...I said goodbye. Then got a txt again about how sweet my voice was. I then txtd that he sounded like a foreigner. I got a reply that he was born in Germany and gross mom was from Germany. He didn't sound like he was from Germany but India or some where far east.I then looked up this phone number and am now reported it.

A man with an Indian accent called my husband from this number. (An earlier post on another site said the is number is randomly assigned Magic jack number you can access through some kind of app, so it doesn’t really seem traceable.) Anyway, he never gave his name and said that he worked with a computer protection company we had signed up for and asked if we were having trouble with my computer. Since I had been having trouble with mine and only I had recently signed up for a plan my husband assumed it was for me and gave him my phone number.
When they called me he we told me that someone was consistently trying to hack into my computer and specially my email. Then he asked if I was on my computer now. I told him that I was not even at home and asked him to call me over the week end. He insisted the threat was too severe and that he needed to work with me to fix it immediately, He told me that I needed to be sitting at my computer while he worked with me to fix the problem and I would have to give him access to my email so that he could protect me from the hacker. Hmmmm…. I told him to call me in a few hours when I would be at my computer. In the meantime, I asked him to email me a copy of the contract that we were working under. He said that he would.
When I arrived home and opened my email nothing was there. Then I found this sight and saw all the complaints. I called the number back and it clearly is a personal line not a company. I hung up and he called me back and asked who I was. When I told him my first name it took him a moment to remember what the call might be in reference to. When I pressed him he said he worked for Albion. I told him I was searching that name online at that moment and could not find the company. He said to give him 10 minutes and he would send me the contract. Then he asked me to confirm my email. I said, “You should have it if we have a contract.” I don’t expect to hear from this thief again.
After the call I looked back at my bill for the service I bought to protect my computer and it is not associated with Albion.
