I was just recently called by them, whereupon they state they were conducting a customer satisfaction survey. Reason being was that I had within the past 30 days conducted some contact with them and they wanted to know how satisfied I was with my recent transaction. Their employee did not know how I was contacted, as I only complete online bill-pay, and I did not communicate with them via telephone. She took a few minutes at most to complete the survey. No alarming questions were asked for me to suspect anything of them (such as social security number, credit card info, my NYSEG account information, or what-have-you). Only thing asked was the last 4 digits of my telephone number and age.
