Didn't and won't answer area codes foreign to me. The phone is not a command. This number is a telepest; wanting to scam personal information. Quest telephone does that same desperate thing because most people don't want land phones and don't order their installation. Foisting the product or service on unknowing people often results in collections pests trumped up for the occassion.
I always report them, have had some punished and posted(smeared)all over the internet
They do cease their behavior after awhile, replaced by new ones,just like the same old.
Just don't answer those calls, search engine the number,report on all sites you can,on CL, to CL,as many other sites and blogs you feel safe reporting on. I never do surveys, either.

I signed up for a survey site (InBoxDollars; said it was featured on Good Morning America), and before I even had a chance to investigate it further it has spawned a multiplicity of SPAM to my paid cell phone (required to sign up) as well as my email!

I am getting “spoofed caller ID”, “unavailable”, etc. calls where no-one is on the other end; it’s quite disturbing. I did NOT register to any of these sites.

I find that signing up for the survey site automatically generated SPAM to my ‘pay per minute’ cell phone diminishing my minutes and accelerating excessive charges! As well as overloading my email account. Hindsight 20/20

To stop these unwanted phone calls, log in to the Angie's List Web site, then click on My Account at the top, then click on E-mail and Phone Preferences. If you scroll down the page, you'll see a checkbox for Telephone Calls and Request for Reports. Just uncheck those, and you shouldn't be bothered anymore.
