Said i was wanted for tax evasion. Police were after me if i didn't pay them now. I paid them a lot of money i don't have. Is this a scam????!!!!

Called and said that I was going to be arrested for tax evasion. Threatened to come to my house and have me arrested and have agents come and follow me wherever I go. This is a huge scam I contacted the IRS about the tax year that he said that I was being arrested for they have no problem with it as well as they have received multi complaints about this guy and this number.
