What I was told by others about calls from this number, and other similar numbers - Be very, very wary of these calls - do not take them lightly....then again, if you have nothing to worry about, just disregard them and ask to be removed from future calls ( although, that request never seems to work ) Think very carefully before surrendering any information...But the worst thing you could do, allegedly, is to draw extra attention by refusing to cooperate. These calls are actually made by a sham company overseas that generates a survey for a U.S. Government agency which I can't name, due to possible existing contractual obligations and serious imposable penalties. This agency allegedly investigates companies and individuals that have been listed as either; being of questionable character, possible threat to society or known to participate in or organize others in activities detrimental to others and appearing to be un American in nature. The central location of this agency is located outside Washington D.C. ( although the calls are placed from various locations, and relocate randomly ) and has satellite offices around the world. These calls should be taken very seriously, noting that any information that you might provide could allegedly be collected for the purpose of building a portfolio against you. Remember - lack of cooperation, openness and the APPEARANCE of guilt will likely be a reason for more thorough and detailed investigating.
