Spoofing is when a person or entity uses someone else's phone number to mask their true phone number to make contact to people to either make a prank or sell them on some sort of a scam. If you have been called multiple times about Solar panels or harassed please be aware that this is NOT Bay Area Energy. Our company is not involved with solar panels nor do we perform any kind of telemarketing let alone make cold calls to people on the national do not call list. We are working with the FTC and local police department to find the culprits of this on going scam. Next time you receive one of these calls, press *57 to trace where the call actually originated. Please report to your local police department and FTC of this matter. We apologize for any inconvenience and we understand how frustrating it is to receive unwanted phone calls at home.
