Caller was computer generated voice. The number traces back to university hospital in San francisco. I seriously doubt they are the irs. Also the ending of the message was definitely NOT an irs statement. "good bye and take care".

The call was an automated call stating it was the IRS and it was important to call back before further action was taken. I called the number just for curiosity (I knew it was not the IRS because I live on the east coast and would have received a "real" call from Atlanta, not San Francisco). A man sounding like he was from India insisted it was the IRS and asked for my name. When I told him I was not going to give me his name, he hung up. SCAM - beware, do not give out ANY personal information!
