They're still trying to pull the same scam as of today (12/03/2014) as they were back in April, as reported on another site. Upon answering the phone this automated prompt plays: "We are calling in reference to your current credit card account. There is nothing wrong with your account but we are calling to offer you the opportunity to lower your interest rates to as low as 6.9%. Your eligibility expires soon so consider this your last opportunity. Please press one to speak to a live operator. Press two to never have this opportunity again."
I pressed one to find out more information - asked how they got my number and the guy on the other end, middle eastern accent, said "From your credit card account and past payments." I said it was a lie and before I could finish my sentence he hung up. I blocked the number.
