I received a call from that number this morning. They claimed my computer had downloaded a malware and that my computer was sending reports to their servers and wanted me to mess with my system files as per their instructions.
Told them it was fishy and that I would be incredibly surprised that Microsoft would waste time and money to warn me about that (they claimed they were calling on behalf of Microsoft) and that them asking me to mess with my system files over the phone sounded to me like they were trying to have me opening a back door on my PC for them. To top it all off, they spoke poor English with a strong Indian accent, I could barely understand.
They didn't even argue and simply hung up on me.
I'm still wondering if I should call the police..
