I've had a call this evening. I'm on a do-not-call and I am now telling these places that if they call a second time, I'm automatically reporting them to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) that oversees violations/penalties for continued infractions.

Go to this link to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Action needs to be taken promptly against those who continue to violate...then they'll start getting the message.

This company begins its recorded message using the words "FBI" and "Police", to get your attention. Apparently, it is a company selling home security systems; however, the recorded message misleads one to believe that if the called person allows the company's sign to be placed in their yard, the security system will be installed and maintained for free.

They give you options of pressing "1" to hear more, or pressing "9" to be taken off the call list; however, pressing "9" does absolutely nothing.

It is just another misleading telemarketing call, perhaps a scam. I called the number back and it rang 10 times, then gave a busy signal.
