This is a phishing scam and I have a suggestion for all of the folks here. If your complaint is not being heard you should send a non violent email to the source of the issue. The Company that supplies the phone line. This is a standard complaint email. "To Whom It May Concern; I am writing your company to explain the issue of your phone lines being used for Illegal Purposes known as Phishing Scams. The number listed in this e-mail is attempting to gather personal information by portraying themselves as a Warranty extension company. They have asked for bank account information and home addresses. I Do not want to hold your company liable at this time but your providing this telephone access to this "company" may border on cooperation with them to make a profit from the same monies that will be stolen from their "Customers" this would then make your company an accomplice in this scam, and may be actionable. Your best act is to remove access to this company for their attempt at Fraud and coercion. Thank you for your efforts in stopping Tele-fraud." As you can see there is no intent made but a warning is given. This can be followed up and verified with a standard response from the phone company.
