They have called me at least 5 times now. The recording says my warranty is about to expire (even though my car is 11 years old). The 2nd time they called I asked which car they were referring to and they didn't say anything. they are calling me on my cell and it costs me money. jerks

This calls are not only annoying but costly due to overseas roaming charges that are incurred for calls received even when they are not answered ($2.49 per missed call)! Is there a company to be sued associated with this number?

ID showed Michigan (517)931-2251. I didn't answer & no message left. I see from other posts it must be the extended warranty scammers that have absolutely nothing to do with anyone's legitimate car dealer. Thugs.

I've been getting calls about the same - warranty renewal. I started to get suspicious after the second call and when they called again I asked them simple questions (for ex.: what company are you with?; is there a website or number I can reach you on?) that they did not answer and after that hung up quickly.
I'm thinking about reporting this number to the authorities. I would say be careful and aware of this scam.

I got a car warranty renewal reminder call from this number. I'm on the National DND list so why do these calls still get through?

This is a phishing scam and I have a suggestion for all of the folks here. If your complaint is not being heard you should send a non violent email to the source of the issue. The Company that supplies the phone line. This is a standard complaint email. "To Whom It May Concern; I am writing your company to explain the issue of your phone lines being used for Illegal Purposes known as Phishing Scams. The number listed in this e-mail is attempting to gather personal information by portraying themselves as a Warranty extension company. They have asked for bank account information and home addresses. I Do not want to hold your company liable at this time but your providing this telephone access to this "company" may border on cooperation with them to make a profit from the same monies that will be stolen from their "Customers" this would then make your company an accomplice in this scam, and may be actionable. Your best act is to remove access to this company for their attempt at Fraud and coercion. Thank you for your efforts in stopping Tele-fraud." As you can see there is no intent made but a warning is given. This can be followed up and verified with a standard response from the phone company. Look to the internet my friends you can take this all the way to the top if you search well enough. Remember what the Fans of "Jericho" Did?
