Caller said she was raising money for Democratic senatorial races and that if I gave her my debit card number, minus the three-digit code on the back, all would be well. Finally she gave me a number to call so I could verify who the caller represented. That number was 617-492-4405. I have not called it because scammers do this, I am told, and although everything seems on the up and up, it sometimes is not.
