What I can add to all this is about 678 518 2904:
If you hear the recorded message, need to stay on the line for 3 or 4 or 5 seconds untill someone on the other end gets connected (the way automated system works with room full of operators).
We had been getting two calls a day for last week and a half. Wife would either not answer in time (no message left) or she would answer and hear the short recorded message "this is an important call", then hear nothing and she would hang up after a couple seconds and say "there is nobody there, is just a stupid recording".
Today; I answered the call, heard the recorded message, and waited about 5 seconds, and then someone said Hello and asked to speak to someone I never heard of (but whos name is somewhat simialar to wifes). I say there is no one here by that name, and I gave our names to prove it, and stated that have been recieving many calls and consider it harrasment and requested to be removed from thier call list. I asked who it is that is calling. He just again asked to speak to that other person (okay, now I am mad.) I explained again (louder) that this is so and so's phone, do not know any such person. He said he would remove our number from the system.
What does not make sence is:
- this is wifes work phone. Not used on any credit card account of any sort.
- caller is asking for a particular persons name, as if that person gave this number, or the number was in error. BUt then the caller says "will remove your number from our system", as if it is just a number in a list, not a number for a particualr person.
I have a therory:
This is just a scam to get the name of the person. This increases the value of the number to be sold to other marketerrs.

Calls me about 4-5 times a day and never leaves a message. When I do answer they hang up. So, apparently they don't want to get a hold of me that bad.

I have recieved anywhere from one to four calls a day from this number for about the past two weeks. Today I picked it up and made the man on the other end of the phone go through h*ll. I told him that I never wanted them to call my phone ever again and then I made him repeat it to me like a 4 year old. I really made this guy feel like the scum he is. After about four minutes of this, I told him that if he does call my phone ever again I will have him arrested. I was screaming at him and when I asked him what his name was He said Victor Smith. Then he asked me what my name was and I said "Victor Smith"(a lie but since he lied I did too). I dont think they will ever be calling ever again. :)

it sounds like some creeper. he called my cell this morning and he left a message saying hello......hello......i was just.hello.....hel and then he hung up. put them on the reject list forsure.
