It was a robocall telling me that the banks are ripping me off and I have a legal way to not pay 40-60% of my credit card debt. The bot went on and on about how I'm getting ripped off. Finally told me to press 2 if I want debt relief. No I don't want debt relief but I want to know what telemarketer is calling me illegally so I can waste their time, harrass them and report them to the FTC so I pressed 2. Again the message went on and on before finally asking me to press 9 to speak to a debt relief specialist.
He answered the phone as "Debt Relief Center". I confirmed the name of the company and he said they were located in Irvine California. When I asked why he was calling my cell phone against Federal law and he said I called him. After berating him for a while, he finally said that the next time I get a call from them, I should just "hit the red button".
Tried calling the number back and of course it doesn't exist.
