I have been called by this number several times over the past few weeks. When I answer I either hear the line get disconnected, or there is simply no one there (dead air calls). It's likely automated dialing done by a telemarketing company--The have a computer that calls out numerous telephone numbers simultaneously, even though they only have a limited number of telemarketers. The computer ensures that an excess amount of telephone numbers are called so that they have sufficient people answering their lines at home to match the number of telemarketers on shift. Once all telemarketers are busy talking, the rest of the lines are disconnected. This way, the telemarketing company can ensure their telemarketers are talking to live bodies the whole time. For those who did not pick up the line quickly enough and simply get cut off, the result is no different than receiving a crank call.
