Caller claimed calling from Mon Power indicating that they did not receive my payment and will cut off the power in the next 2 hours. The only way to continue the service is to go and buy a GreenDotMoneyPak immediately and give the caller (which has this 800 number) within 1 hour. I told time it is autopay, but he said Mon Power will refund the repayment and offers 35% discount on next bill if Mon Power later found that I paid already. Without giving too much info, I called Mon Power and verified that my account is uptodate. I called the 800 back and tried to get much info from the scammer as possible. I reported to the police.
